24 Suspected Internet Fraudsters Arrested in Edo by EFCC

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested 24 suspected internet fraudsters on Monday at various locations in Benin City, Edo State.

The arrests were made following actionable intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in cyber-related crimes.

During the operation, the EFCC recovered several items, including 11 luxury cars, laptops, and mobile phones. Additionally, a sum of ₦160,000 was seized from one of the suspects.

The commission stated that the suspects have provided useful statements and will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
