Tinubu Appoints Usman as Chairman of the National Hajj Commission

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The appointment, announced by the President’s Special Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, is subject to Senate confirmation. Professor Usman, a distinguished scholar with extensive experience in hajj operations, previously served as the chairman of the Kano State Pilgrim’s Board. In that role, he effectively managed the largest quota of state pilgrims in the country.

The President has expressed his expectation that Professor Usman will carry out his responsibilities with integrity, transparency, and dedication to the nation.
