At the Presidential Election Petition Court on Tuesday in Abuja, award-winning author Chimamanda Adichie joined Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu’s victory in the election of February 25, 2023, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is being contested by Obi and Baba-Ahmed.
The Tribunal is set to resume hearing in the adoption of written address by LP and Obi.
The petitioners โ LP, Obi; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar โ are praying for the nullification of Tinubuโs victory in the February 25 poll.
They are both praying to be named the winner of the election, or that a rerun to be conducted.
The parties filed and exchanged their final written addresses with the last being Tinubuโs reply on July 24 to the final written address by Atiku and the PDP.
