After Prime minister Ünal Üstel announced that they decided to switch to multiple tariffs in electricity, Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK ) Chairman of the Board of Directors Hüseyin Pasha spoke to the Cyprus Post.
KIB-TEK Chairman of the Board of Directors, Pasha, noted that electricity prices have increased in the last 1 year and the citizens demanded the transition to ‘multi-tariff’.
Pasha said, “Citizens are not obliged to switch to multiple tariffs. They will optionally come to us and say, ‘I want to switch to multi-tariff’ or ‘I don’t want to’.
Noting that there is a Board of Directors meeting at 11:00 tomorrow, Pasha also stated that the implementation will be clarified in a few days.
