The suspect MFS, who was alleged to have stolen alcoholic beverages from a market operating in Nicosia and was arrested for this reason, was brought to court.

The police stated that the suspect was on trial for theft and that he stole 5 thousand 800 TL worth of alcohol and liquor from a market operating in Nicosia on August 24.
Explaining that the suspect was identified on September 1, the police stated that a bottle of liquor in their possession was taken as evidence and he was arrested as per the court order.
The police said that the suspect was brought before the Nicosia District Court on September 2 and secured him a 3-day detention.
He added that the suspect admitted his guilt by giving a voluntary statement regarding the issue.
The police demanded his pre-trial detention, saying that the investigation on the matter had been completed and that he had no legal status.
Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Hazal Hacฤฑmulla ordered the suspect to be held in prison for a period not exceeding one month.
