Ercan airport hosted 869 thousand 448 passengers in three months – Airport Management

It was reported that Ercan Airport served 869 thousand 448 passengers and 6 thousand 78 aircraft in June, July and August.

In the statement made by T&T Airport Management, it was noted that 277 thousand 879 passengers arrived and departed in June, while this figure was 292 thousand 8 in July, and 299 thousand 561 passengers entered and departed from Ercan in August.

While 2 thousand 82 aircraft arrived and departed from Ercan Airport in June, this number was 2 thousand 18 in July and 1978 in August. 

424 thousand passengers came, 445 thousand went

In June, July and August of 2022, 424 thousand 256 passengers entered the TRNC, while 445 thousand 192 passengers left.

While 132 thousand 800 passengers arrived in June, 140 thousand 335 passengers in July and 151 thousand 121 passengers in August; 145 thousand 79 passengers left in June, 151 thousand 673 passengers in July and 148 thousand 440 passengers in August. 

6 thousand 78 aircraft were served in 3 months

In June, July and August of 2022, Ercan Airport served 6 thousand 78 inbound and outbound aircraft.

In June, 1,042 planes landed at T&T Ercan Airport, while 1,040 planes took off.

In July, 2 thousand 18 planes landed and took off from the airport.

In August, 988 landings and 990 aircraft took off from Ercan.

M. Serhat ร–zรงelik, General Manager of T&T Airport Operations, said, โ€œAs a tourism and education island, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, all the stakeholders that bring tourists to our island, all stakeholders that contribute to the country’s tourism, especially the incoming tourism companies, hotels, universities, and also the Ministry of Tourism and the environment, are also responsible for the service they provide. There are great efforts and efforts of transportation companies that support tourism,โ€ he said.

ร–zรงelik pointed out that the COVID-19 epidemic in the country as well as in the world has not yet ended, and stated that the decisions taken by the Infectious Diseases Supreme Committee of the Ministry of Health at the airport against the Covid-19 epidemic continue.

ร–zรงelik asked the passengers to follow the mask, social distance and hygiene rules in order to protect their health first and then the others, and wished them healthy days and a safe journey.
