MASA, who issued a fake “Dutch Residence Permit Card” and was arrested by the ground handling officer while trying to leave Ercan in order to go to Belgium, was brought to court and ordered to remain in prison for a period of not more than 2 months.
Recounting the incident in court, the police said that the 21-year-old Palestinian suspect, who was in the TRNC on a 15-day tourist visa, did not make any statement regarding the issue.
The police stated that during the investigation conducted at the “PGM Fraud Branch”, it was determined that the card in question was fake.
Saying that the suspect entered the TRNC on 30 August with a visa for 15 days and was found as a tourist, he demanded his detention in the central prison for 2 months.
Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Hazal Hacฤฑmulla ordered that the suspect be kept in prison for a period of not more than 2 months.
