Independence Road Nicosia Regional Officer Cansu N. Nazlı called for local elections to be used to hold the government accountable.
According to the written statement made by the Independence Road, Nazlı, speaking about the special draft law on municipalities, claimed that despite the existence of laws that could not be convened all year and that needed to be passed urgently, there was an effort to pass a law in the parliament, where no work was done.
Expressing that, like the law on municipalities, the draft law to change the broadcasts of public and private radio and television establishments is on the agenda of the parliament, Nazlı claimed that this bill will impose a serious limitation on internet newspapers and publications.
Explaining that they always voiced the importance of publicist policies as the Independence Road, Nazlı said that they defended the right of the people to access these services free of charge in all areas, from education, health, social services to energy.
