Minister of Finance Alişan Şan announced that, within the scope of ‘Law No. 47/2010 on Regulating the Monthly Salary, Wages and Other Allowances of Public Employees’, they tried to regulate the salaries of those who entered the public sector after 2011, but that they encountered some problems in the law, however, all formulas were tried to eliminate the grievances.
Finance Minister Alişan Şan said, “Actually, the best thing to do is to regulate taxes. The Tax Law does not only cover public employees and those who receive salaries from the public, it is also an issue that concerns the private sector. However, since the Income and Tax Law is a calendar year, tax changes during the year cause great problems. Despite this, we are trying all the formulas.”
Şan also stated that they will meet again with the unions authorized in the public sector regarding the law.
Minister of Finance Şan, who wants it to be known that he is working sincerely for the elimination of the grievances, said, “I am saying it openly and clearly, as long as I am in this office, I am working and will work with my team for whatever needs to be done to eliminate the grievances, increase the welfare of the people, and expand the market.
If necessary, I will leave this seat, but I will not do anything to open the abyss against the substrate. You will see and feel this in my actions. We need time for this. In this sense, I expect tolerance from our people and unions. “This country needs reconciliation,” he said.
Minister of Finance Şan said that one of their biggest goals is to fight against informality.
