Citizens who shop for stationery before schools open in the TRNC have to pay an average of 1,693 TL. This price, which corresponds to approximately one fifth of the minimum wage, creates a lot of trouble for the citizens these days when it is difficult to make a living.

BOOK PRICES RISE UP TO 160 TL

Book prices start from 25 TL and go up to 160 TL. Bag prices vary between 300-400 TL on average.

English books, which are required from middle and high school students in public schools as ‘compulsory’, found their place on the shelves for 340 TL.

STATIONERY SHOPPING CANNOT BE MADE WITH COMFORT…

Citizens, who are crushed below the cost of living rate announced as 56.76 percent in the first six months of the year in the TRNC cannot do their children’s stationery shopping with peace of mind.
