“The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs is trying to make people forget the military coup aiming to connect the island to Greece, with an 11-year period in which the Greek Cypriot leadership destroyed the Republic of Cyprus with gun force in 1960 and subjected the Turkish Cypriots to enclaves and subjected them to barbaric treatment.”

The Greek Cypriot Administration of Cyprus is still following a policy that is disconnected from reality, unaware that the paradigm regarding the Cyprus issue has changed. In addition, the fact that the “bi-zonal, bi-communal federal solution model based on political equality” has failed many times reveals the false loyalty of the Greek Cypriot side to this model.
This hypocrisy has become a part of the daily policy of the Greek Cypriot leadership. The Greek Cypriot side, on the one hand, hindering the socio-economic development of the Turkish Cypriots with inhuman isolation, and on the other hand, complaining about the deepening of our diplomatic and economic relations with Turkey, our only gateway to the world, is just one of the examples of this hypocrisy.
Contrary to what the Greek Cypriot Foreign Ministry claims, the solution option in Cyprus based on the sovereign equality of the two States is not an imposition, but the only realistic and sustainable option. The persistence of the United Nations Security Council on the federal solution model, which has been offered as a prescription in Cyprus for more than 50 years but has already been exhausted as an option, is an imposition. An acceptable and sustainable agreement will be reached by confirming the sovereign equality of the TRNC before starting formal negotiations.
In the statement, it was stated that the TRNC, as a respected member of the international community and a culture of tolerance, will continue to progress and develop rapidly by protecting its rights, despite all injustices and difficulties, together with Motherland Turkey, which pioneers the establishment of peace, tranquility and cooperation.
