Gürcan Erdoğan, a former general manager of the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK), and his driver, Hüseyin İnce, were sentenced to 18 months in prison as a result of the trial today.
Erdogan and his driver were investigated for corruption.
Both men were in pretrial detention pending trial.

The report was sent to the prosecutor’s office by the Prime Ministry’s Supervisory Board. On behalf of the Kib-Tek Board of Directors, lawyer Emre Efendi went to the General Directorate of Police and filed a criminal complaint against both names.
