HAKSEN explained that a meeting was held in the Ministry of Finance on the subject of the Immigration Law, and that a proposal was made to make adjustments to the tax brackets for the service classes, explaining that the increase proposals meant “to make fun of the employees”.
The Equal Rights and Justice Union (HAKSEN) made a statement about the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance yesterday to discuss the demands of the unions on the “Law on Regulating the Monthly Salary, Wages and Other Allowances of Public Employees”, also known as the Immigration Law in the public.
In his statement, HAKSEN stated that in response to their demands, a proposal was made to make adjustments in tax brackets in January 2023, with a gross increase of 100 TL for service classes requiring university graduation, 200 TL for service classes requiring high school graduation, and 300 TL for service classes requiring secondary school graduation.
In the statement, “As the union, we decided that the proposal for an increase was to make fun of the employees and left the table.
Our struggle will continue to increase.โ
