According to the written statement made by İKYD, Legal Support provided within the scope of the “Equal Rights for All:

Strengthening Employee Rights Project” financed by the European Union under the Cyprus Civil Society at Work VII Grant Program and carried out in cooperation with the Human Resources Management Association and the Cyprus Turkish Bar Association. The mechanism started to work.

Thanks to this mechanism, all private sector employees who think that their rights have been violated will be able to follow their rights by receiving free support.

According to the statement, private sector employees can contact the support line “0546 999 2022” by voice call, SMS or WhatsApp voice call, or WhatsApp message in order to get information about their rights and to benefit from the support mechanism free of charge.

In addition, private sector employees who want to benefit from free legal services can start the support process by giving information about their grievances by clicking on the “https://bit.ly/3p6aAYn” link.

In the statement, basic employee rights violations were listed as follows: “For regular time employees; 8 hours a day. Working more than 40 hours a week and not receiving additional allowance. Non-payment or regular non-payment of salary. No investments made or not made on salary.

For foreign national personnel; being employed without a work permit. Keeping and not giving the passport by the employer. Unjustly suspended from work. Not being able to use the right to annual leave. Suffering from violence at work. Experiencing psychological pressure at work (mobbing).
