The suspect Adam Avshev, who was arrested on charges of “Forgery of Official Documents”, “Pulling Forged Documents”, “Secretly and Unauthorized Entering the Military Forbidden Zone”, was brought before the court again.

Police officer Ali Arslan, who gave sworn testimony in the court, reported the facts. The police stated that the suspect Adam Avshev was involved in the crimes of โ€œForgery of Official Documentsโ€, โ€œCirculating Counterfeit Documentsโ€, โ€œSneaking and Unauthorized Entering the Military Restricted Areaโ€.

The police said that on Thursday, August 11, at 04.20, at Ercan Airport in Famagusta, the fake Belgian identity card issued in the name of Adam Gazviriev, on which the resident Adam Avshev was in his possession, was put into circulation by giving it to the immigration officer in order to exit the TRNC.

In the investigation made by Adam Avshev regarding the issue, the police came to Southern Cyprus from Larnaca Airport in 2017 and requested asylum for political reasons, but learned that he would be returned to Russia without being granted asylum, and on 9 July 2021 he did not remember the plate of a black taxi. He stated that it was determined that he had secretly crossed into the TRNC within the year, that he had been living in the TRNC for about 1 year and that his friends had obtained a fake Belgian identity card so that he could go to Turkey.

The police demanded that the named suspect be detained for 3 days, saying that he was arrested red-handed and the investigation continues.

Judge Hazal Hacฤฑmulla, evaluating the testimony given in his presence, ordered the suspect to be detained for 3 days.
