The Council of Ministers approved the legislative decree that would make the minimum wage tax-free.

After the Council of Ministers meeting, which lasted about an hour, the decisions taken were announced by the Council’s Spokesperson, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun OฤŸuz.

At the meeting, a decree having the force of law, effective from 1 August, regulating the non-taxation of the minimum wage was approved. It was stated that the minimum wage earners can take back the tax cuts in July by applying to the Ministry of Finance until January 2023.
