Four fake soldiers held for robbery in Osun

Four men in army uniform have been arrested in Osun State for alleged armed robbery.

Commissioner of Police Olawale Olokode, who paraded the suspects over the weekend in Osogbo, said three of the suspects, David Agbebaku, Adewale Olubunmi and Oluwaseun Oderinde, were arrested after one of them, an army deserter, fraudulently obtained N300,000 from a man.
Olokode also said the suspects robbed a motorist of his Honda Accord car, which they allegedly sold to a dealer in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
“Similarly,” the CP said, “another 27-year-old fake soldier, Ibrahim Ajibola, was arrested along Osogbo-Gbongan Highway.”
“Items recovered from the suspects are four Army identity cards, one military photograph, a laminated military certificate, stamp pad of the Nigeria Army, military camouflage kits, Honda car with registration number RGB399MB and EPE 509-GL, Army form B.295 and jack knife, among others.”
