WEP: Youth Ministry To Commence Further Payments This Month, Urges Patience To Beneficiaries

The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development says further payments to its Work Experience Programme(WEP)beneficiaries will begin this month after some tracking and reconciliation have been concluded on the payments made so far.

The Ministry urges the youth and beneficiaries affected by the delays to be patient and show decorum while the issues that have slowed down the process are resolved.
The Ministry had paid the sum of Eighty Million, Four Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira (N80,460,000) to Two Thousand, Six Hundred and Eighty Two (2,682) internship participants under this programme last August and September.
These payments covered the participants in both the North and South.
The Work Experience Programme (WEP) Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development is a three-month internship programme that provides participants with the opportunity to gain relevant first hand knowledge, develop skills and workplace competencies that will enhance their employability.
