The Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has declared continued support for the families of Members of the Armed Forces who paid the supreme price on behalf of the nation.
The Governor stated this today, January 11th, 2022 at the EXCO Chambers in the Government House, Owerri where he received Heads of the various services in the State along side the Leadership and Members of the Nigerian Legion – Imo State Council, Armed Forces Women/Widows Association and Senior Officers of the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups on the occasion of the Launching of the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem.
“The way and manner we handle the widows and families left behind by our fallen heroes will actually be what what will spur our Military Men and Women currently fighting to defend Nigeria both within the country and outside the country. We will continue to support you as a government and as individuals and if not for anything, Government of Imo State will like to see a more robust, more organized organization, and so for that reason, you must must also consider us as a willing partner, to partner with you , to support you projects”, the Governor said.
He gave the assurances that the Government and people of Imo would always extend a hand of fellowship to the security agencies.
