Police FCID, EFCC to Strengthen Collaboration

The new Commissioner of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, (FCID), Enugu, Mr. Aliyu Adamu Alhaji on Thursday October 14, 2021 pledged greater commitment to improving the synergy between the specialised arm of the Nigeria Police Force and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in fighting crime in Nigeria. 

The Police Commissioner who was speaking during a courtesy visit to the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC, assured the Command of his unalloyed support. “I and my management team are here to familiarize with you and, as the highest investigating body, we are here to show our support and seek cooperation in investigation and intelligence sharing. Synergy is important between the two organisations; so feel free to call upon us whenever you require our assistance. We are children of the same father, so we must work together to please our father – Nigeria,” he said.
The Deputy Commander of the Enugu Zonal Command, Umar Shuaibu Masari, thanked Alhaji and his team for the visit, He noted that the EFCC and the Police have a longstanding relationship which must be strengthened.
“The Police and the EFCC have been enjoying a smooth mutually benefitting relationship in terms of investigation, intelligence sharing, capacity building and training”. He assured that “our doors are always open,” as we continue to work together for the greater good of the nation.
