Be Consistent and Passionate About Your Job, Bawa Tells Staff

…As DCE Aisha Larai-Musa Bows Out of Service

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa on Wednesday June 23, 2021enjoined staff of the Commission to be consistent and approach their jobs with passion. “Maintain consistency and passion for your job. The point I am trying to make here is; no matter what you are trying to do, try to do it to the best of your ability.”

He stated this in a remark at the send-forth ceremony for Deputy Commander of the EFCC, DCE Hajiya Aisha Larai Musa, who is proceeding on retirement having put in the mandatory 35 years of service.

Bawa said the passion Larai-Musa exhibited for her job, “made it look as if she was just joining the service, like a Level 8 Officer who had 35 years to retire. This is because she loved to do what she likes to do till the very end. Her commitment to the EFCC and Nigeria has shown that she contributed her quota for 35 years, and the Commission will always remember what she did”.

Speaking earlier, the Commandant of the EFCC Academy Ayo Olowonihi called on the staff of the Commission to live peacefully with one another, “so that once retirement comes, we will leave the service as friends.

“As for her, she will remain our friend forever, and I am also urging us to make this kind of event a habit,” he said.

In her valedictory remarks, Hajiya Larai-Musa thanked God for making it possible for her to leave the service in good health. She also thanked the Chairman and the entire staff of the Commission for coming out to identify with her.

She used the opportunity to advise her colleagues to strive to be a blessing to others, stressing that “we must all learn to forgive one another because we all deserve peace”.
