Faleke empowers constituency

The Honourable member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. James Faleke has restated the need to support Nigerian children for the growth and development of the country in a competitive world.



The lawmaker, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives said this on the 2nd February 2021 while commissioning two fully equipped Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Study Centres in Ojodu Grammar School and Ogba Junior Grammer School. 

This is in addition to two classrooms, store, and office all adequately kitted with furniture, and Solar powered system was commissioned in Oke-Ira Primary School in Ikeja, Lagos.

Faleke, who is also the  Chairman, House Committee on Finance also presented 130 Laptops to SS1 students across Ikeja Federal Constituency said, “Our Children are the future leaders and the best thing a Nation can do to protect its future is by supporting them and creating a conducive learning environment for them to thrive.” 

In continuation of the empowerment programme on the 3rd February 2021, he also presents 100 Suzuki mini-buses and 20 Keke Napep vehicles to unemployed youths to kickstart their transportation business ideas.

Furthermore, saying that the informal private sector is critical to the national economy, the lawmaker supported small scale businesses in his constituency by presenting 100 grinding machines, 50 sets of deep freezers, 50 generating sets, 30 industrial machines, 30 hairdressing dryers and 10 sewing machines to the people with an additional cash grant of N40,000 presented to a total of 100 small scale business owners.
