Buhari greets former Governor, Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo at 80

President Muhammadu Buhari has joined family and friends of former Governor of Kwara State, Chief Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, to celebrate his 80th birthday, February 24, 2021, sending warm felicitations to the Senator, who also served the country as a Minister of Communication.

The President believed Chief Adebayo’s strength of character, discipline and visionary leadership style set him apart for responsibilities and great heights at a young age, starting out as a lecturer, commissioner, before gaining the national spotlight, with distinguished service at every stage.

As the former governor turns an octogenarian, President Buhari affirmed that his contributions to the return of democratic governance in the country will always be remembered.

While praying for good health and longer life for Chief Adebayo, the President urged the elder statesman to always share his wealth of experience, knowledge and wisdom with younger leaders.
