Good governance group calls for EFCC’s probe over alleged selective justice

An advocacy group for good governance, Abians for Good Governance and Justice (AFGGAJ), has called on the Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), to immediately probe the activities of the EFCC, most especially its handling of investigations involving high profile politicians.

AFGGAJ says Nigerians are now beginning to lose faith in the anti-corruption war of the government which it said was one of the primary reasons Nigerians voted the current government to power.
In a press release signed by the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Benson Nsiegbe, the group wondered why the anti-corruption agency, after nine months of its detailed investigation and revelations it made available to Nigerians and the rest of the world on the alleged misappropriation of Abia State finances; nothing has been heard concerning the arraignment in court of any of the indicted individuals.
The group urged the AGF to use his office to uphold the tenets of the law in order to avoid favouritism and selective justice and to strengthen the people’s belief in the rule of law.
