EFCC Begins Training-the-Trainers Course for Staff


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on Monday, October 19, 2020 commenced a five-day intensive training of its officers aimed at improving the investigation capacity of its detectives and grooming internal trainers, who would impart all other staff.

The course, themed “Training of Trainers,” will run from October 19 – 23, 2020, at the Commission’s Academy, Karu, Abuja.  

While declaring open the training, the Acting Commandant, EFCC Academy, ACP Itam Nnaghe Obono said the skills learned from the training “will aid the participants in the performance of their duties and prepare them to become teachers or facilitators who will deliver training to others,” and in the end, address the training needs of staff of the Commission up to the zonal offices.

 Speaking further, he said “Part of what we hope to see in the future is to do evidence-based evaluation and assessment of situations. When participants are rightly equipped they will be better prepared with the right frame of mind to fight the war against economic and financial crimes”.
