The Maiduguri zonal head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Hamza Rilwan has called on stakeholders in his zone to join hands with the EFCC in the fight against economic and financial crimes.
He made the call on Monday, August, 24, 2020, while on a familiarization visit to Federal
Inland Revenue Service, Corporate Affairs Commission and Network for Civil Society
Organisations in Maiduguri, Borno State.
While at the FIRS, Rilwan appreciated the support and cooperation the Service has been giving the EFCC and pressed for more positive relationship between the two agencies. “We have been receiving lots of cooperation and support. We wish to ask for timely responses of
requests put to the agency, so as to aid investigation and prosecution”, he said.
In his response, The Service’s Tax Controller, Titus Nbugadu, congratulated Rilwan on his
appointment, saying that the activity of the EFCC is helping the country in so many ways.
In another development, both the Manager of Corporate Affairs Commission, Nazir Sani and Executive Director, Civil Society Organisations Ambassador Ahmad Shehu assured the EFCC of more collaboration and synergy.
