Magu regains freedom after nine days

The suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu on Wednesday regained freedom after nine days in detention.

He was set free from custody in the Force Criminal Investigation Department on the orders of the Presidential Investigation Committee.

Magu’s counsel, Mr. Wahab Shittu, had on Friday filed an application for bail.

Shittu said: “Magu was released at about 6pm and he has rejoined his family in Maitama.”
