Leadership of Lagos Assembly directs members to go for COVID-19 test

Sequel to the death of one of its member, Hon. Tunde Braimoh on Friday last week the leadership of the Lagos State House of Assembly has directed its members to go for Covid-19 test.

The lawmaker representing Ifako Ijaiye 1 constituency, Hon. Adewale Adedeji disclosed this in statement announcing that he has done the test and it was negative.

According to his statement, “As directed by the leadership of the Lagos State House of Assembly, On Sunday, 12th of July, 2020; I went and submitted myself for the COVID-19 test, and I have gotten my result. The test result came out *NEGATIVE*,” he said.

“To this end, it is our collective responsibility to be more careful and observe all the stipulated and given rules to help us prevent the transmission of this deadly Virus”.

He advised that every one must: “wash your hands for 30 seconds regularly, Avoid social gatherings, maintain social distancing and at all times wear a face mask, the use of hand sanitizers should become an Habit and finally, avoid touching your face and nose”, he said.

“I thank Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy Obafemi Hamzat for proactively and tirelessly fighting this pandemic and I pray we won’t be part to its destruction”.
