Embattled Ondo Accountant General, Mr Olaolu Akindolie, has denied allegations that he is loyal to Deputy Governor Hon Agboola Ajayi.
Akindolie also dismissed reports that he paid tla firm believed to belong to the Deputy Governor, ITDC, N700 million and refused to pay less than N200 million of OSOPADEC fund for projects.
Akindolie was caught in the web of political differences between Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his deputy when a group, the the Ondo Southern Solidary Front(OSSF) warned Akeredolu of plot by Akindolie to destabilise activities of his administration.
But Akindolie said he was not sabotaging Akeredolu’s efforts in the MDAs towards effective governance.
Akindolie said mischief makers want to create discord between his office and the State Government.
He maintained he remained committed to the ethics of his profession and the success of government through proper discharge of his duties.
He urged the public should be wary of the mischief makers who he said were on a mission to derailing good governance.
The AG explained that the State Government would only spend what is available and he has been working along that line.
“I’ve never jeopardise any government effort, I’ve always been diligent and remain steadfast in my dealings.
“I also believe in the prudence of this administration and will work in line with that.
“As a highly and committed civil servant, I owe my total loyalty to government of the day and the highly dedicated Mr Governor, who is working hard to put smile on the faces of the people of Ondo State and the overall Interest of all.
“Besides I’ve never engaged in any secret dealings with the deputy governor as alleged by the faceless group,” he stated.
