Governor Obaseki mourns Edo North APC leader, Usman Shagadi

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has mourned the passing of Edo North leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Usman Shagadi.

In a statement, the governor noted that Alhaji Shagadi’s death was a personal loss, adding that he would be greatly missed by the APC family in Edo State.

According to the governor, “I received the news of the passing of Alhaji Usman Shagadi with a heavy heart. While working with him as the leader of our party, the APC, I found him to be a leader who cares deeply for his community. He was courageous, upright and stood for the truth no matter the circumstance.

“Alhaji Shagadi was committed to ensuring the progress of the APC in Edo State and in advancing politics for the development of the masses. He will be greatly missed for his forthrightness, integrity and boldness.”

Obaseki prayed that the Almighty Allah grants Alhaji Shagadi’s family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
