Lagos discharges seven coronavirus patients

The Lagos State Government on Thursday discharged additional seven coronavirus patients after they tested negative twice to the virus.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his official twitter handle, said: “Today, we discharged seven more patients who have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively for COVID-19.

“Good people of Lagos, I bring you awesome news from IDH, Yaba, which is a testament to our resolve to overcome the lethal COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.”

The Governor disclosed that government officials were going round in tracing possible contact persons in the state.

“This is in a bid to intensify our search for possible cases of COVID-19 in different communities across the State known as Active Case Search.

“These officials can be identified with a COVID-19 outbreak response tag or a letter from the LGA.”

He urged residents to give the officials maximum support by providing accurate information that would help in containing COVID-19 pandemic quickly.

“Again, I assure you that at the end of it all, we will be victorious,” Sanwo-Olu assured Lagosians.
