Bauchi confirms three new coronavirus cases

Bauchi State has confirmed three new cases of COVID-19.

The disclosure which was contained in the Situation Room Release Update from the COVID-19 Emergency Operation Centre in the Bauchi State Ministry of Health on Friday brings to six the total number of active cases in the state.

The Commissioner for Health Dr.Aliyu Maigoro, who also confirmed the new cases, said the state is working assiduously to trace their contacts.

“Yes it’s true of the new case. Two are Lagos returnees while the third is a World Health Organization (WHO) staff in the state and they have been moved to the state isolation facility where they are receiving treatment. We are now tracing their contacts. We have also notified NCDC,” he said.
