The Service Chiefs and the Minister of Defence are presently in a closed-door meeting at the moment.
Present at meeting are the House Committees on National Intelligence, Navy, Army, Air force and Defence.
The Speaker of the House, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila is being expected at the meeting which is ongoing.
Earlier Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, who arrived the National Assembly early went straight to the Office of the Speaker.
The meeting may not be unconnected with a summon issued last week by the House of Representatives because of the deteriorating security situation in the country.
