Lagos Government airlifts Israel /Rome pilgrims

Lagos State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Thursday airlifted pilgrims to the holy land of Israel and Rome.

The pilgrimage will last for nine days and will take them to the papal city of Rome in Italy and the holy land of Israel.

Addressing the Pilgrims during the airlifting ceremony at Christ the Light Chapel, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos,  the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs, Mrs Adebunmi Adekanye, admonished the pilgrims to bond together as a team stating that togetherness is key in achieving a lot.

She also advised the pilgrims to obey the instructions of their tour guide as they are well tested and experienced personnel.

The Board Chairman of Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB), Bishop Olusola Ore, in his address urged the Pilgrims to have an encounter with the Lord stating that it is an avenue for them to solidify their faith in Christ.

The Executive Secretary of LSCPWB, Mrs Yetunde Florence Gbafe, in her speech commended the state government for providing the platform for a seamless journey stating that it is in line with the themes and agenda of the present administration which offers an avenue for inclusiveness.

She noted that over 100 pilgrims will be going on the journey while urging them to be expectant and exercise their faith.

The S.A to the Governor on Religious Matters (Christian), Ven. Rev Bukola Adeleke urged the Pilgrims to pray for Nigeria, Lagos State and by extension the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to succeed in his quest to make Lagos State Greater.
