HOW TO UTILISE FINANCES, ALLOWANCE, POCKET-MONEY AS A STUDENT

This isn’t mandatory for everyone to follow. All of these are based on my scale of reasoning.

-Open a bank account: This may sound so awkward but it’s a great start in spending wisely. You’re prone to spending lavishly when going about with cash. (Go cashless)

-Review your bank statement. This could be done monthly or quarterly. It’s helps to keep you in check.

-Drink water. It’s beneficial for your health. (Stay hydrated)

-Don’t go about making purchases based on impulse.

-Don’t over-borrow. This would help to avoid overwhelming debts. (Limits)

-Regulate your monthly eat out.

-Endeavour to pay your bills on time to avoid penalties.

-Walk, go on bicycles, ride a bike or use the public transportation instead of having a car or moving about in taxi.

-Shop where students are given discounts.

-Check out books from the library instead of buying books needed for a short period.

-Go for lectures. Failure to attend lectures you’re paying for is like throwing money out the window.

-Never sign up for a loan that’s unrelated to your education.

-Sell your used items rather than leave them to waste away provided they are still in good conditions.

-Avoid buying name brand items. Go for the regular ones if need be. They’re exactly same at a highly pocket-friendly price.
