EFCC, NSCDC to Collaborate in Fighting Corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) and  the Nigeria Security And  Civil Defence Corps are to close ranks by sharing intelligence in furtherance of the goal of fighting corruption and other national security challenges in the country.

The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,  Bello Ale and the Head of Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC,  Mr Isyaku Sharu disclosed this on Wednesday November 7, 2019 in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Bello who led officials of the NSCDC on a courtesy visit to the EFCC Office in Ilorin said ” Our goal is to make this country free from all forms of corruption. We can only achieve this through intelligence gathering and collaborating with each others “

According to him, ” no country can develop in in a situation where corruption and dishonesty are the order of the day; that is why I decided to come here today. We are proud of your achievements;  I know you occupy a hot seat,  I pray the Almighty God to give you courage to discharge your duties diligently “

Responding,  Sharu while appreciating the NSCDC boss, said security agencies in the country must collaborate in order to achieve results in terms of securing the nation.

“We are very much ready to accept intelligence from your Service sir, there is no reasons for us not to synergies and collaborate, our doors are open twenty four hours,”he assured.
