Corps Members Charged to Make Integrity their Watchword

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Benue Zonal Office on, Tuesday November 19, 2019 took its enlightenment and sensitization campaign to members of the EFCC/NYSC CDS in Benue State with a call on them to uphold integrity transparency and accountability in all their engagements.

Speaking during the meeting, the representative of the EFCC Ms. Nwanyinma Okeanu, called on the Corps members to join EFCC in taking the ant-corruption fight to the younger generation through the formation of integrity clubs in primary and secondary schools. The clubs, she said, will help in remolding the thought patterns of the young ones through the teachings they will receive from their mentors- the Corp members. For this, Ms. Okeanu  urged the Corps members to be above board as far as integrity is concerned.

Responding, the President of the CDS group, Ms. Caroline Igbaji thanked the EFCC for its unrelenting efforts in cleansing the country of corruption and financial crimes and promised that her members will do all they can to give the Commission the support it deserves.

Also the CDS coordinator in Makurdi, Mrs. Nancy Aluka thanked the EFCC representative for visit pointing out that “for a long time, NYSC Makurdi has been seeking to partner with the EFCC with regards to the Anti-corruption CDS group” and expressed happiness that it has finally come to be. She promised to ensure that as many as are willing to be a part of the anti-corruption fight will be co-opted to ensure a corruption free Benue State.
