The World Bank has rated Osun Rural Access Mobility Project (RAMP 2) the best in counterpart funding among the participating states in the federation.
Osun State is rated high in the prompt payment and release of over N2.5 billion counterpart funding for the implementation condition on RAMP 2, according to the Task Team Leader, Mr. Olatunji Ahmed.
A statement by the Development Communication Specialist for RAMP in Osun, James Adedokun, said the World Bank commended the state’s performance through an electronic letter to the state Project Coordinator, Prince Adesola Adewumi.
He said Governor Gboyega Oyetola was appreciated for his support for the project.
The statement read in part: “Osun State Government had met her obligations on counterpart funding payment, which is one of the key criteria to possible migrating to the next project. We thank the State of Osun for being alive to her responsibilities in this regard.
“We thank His Excellency, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, for his unparalleled and unflinching support, which the project is receiving from his administration and his promise to make the project continue and grow to the next level.”
