Ndigbo must unite to improve welfare of Southeast, says Governor Umahi

All socio-cultural groups in South-east have been challenged to unite and form a strong front for the advancement of the welfare of the Igbo nation.

Governor David Umahi gave the challenge while addressing a group known as the Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT) who paid a courtesy call on him at the weekend in Abakaliki, the state capital.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman of Igbo Leaders of Thought, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, ably represented by the deputy chairman and former vice-chancellor of Anambra State University, Prof. Chinweite Ejike, stated that the main aim of the group is to provide intellectual perspective to Igbo nation’s participation and competitions with other nation groups in project Nigeria.
