Governor Okowa salutes Sinebe at 70

Delta Governor, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa

Delta Governor, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated former Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Delta, Dr Pius Sinebe (MFR), as he turns 70 years on Oct. 25, 2019.

He lauded Sinebe, an Ijaw leader for his active contributions to the growth and development of PDP and for his astute leadership in his native Patani Local Government Area.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, on Thursday in Asaba, the governor said that Sinebe’s knowledge, experience and regular counselling to his government had remained a major contribution for stability in the state.

He noted that the former chairman of PDP was one of the elders who stood firmly to ensure the realisation of his governorship goal.

According to him, the elder statesman’s legacy of always seeking the good of Delta and all Nigerians through his unblemished forthrightness, diligence and broad mindedness are benchmarks for upcoming political leaders.

“It is with great honour and privilege that I congratulate you on the occasion of your 70th birth anniversary.

“Your contributions to the growth and development of our state remains indelible in the annals of our cherished history.

“At 70, you demonstrate an uncommon strength and wisdom enjoyed only by a few people of your age and we thank you for always standing by the party since inception,” he added.

The governor prayed that the Almighty God would continue to bless Sinebe with longer life, good health and strength to keep serving the state that he loved so much.
