Gardon, Former American Don Charges EFCC Cadets to be Change Agents

Dr Myra Gardon, a former Provost of Kansas State University, United States has charged cadet officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to see their recruitment as an opportunity to contribute to the fight against illicit financial flows and corruption in Nigeria and by extension Africa.

Gardon who made this call when she paid a courtesy visit to the EFCC Academy Karu, Abuja, enjoined them to help change the narrative of the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Also, she commended the efforts of the Acting Chairman, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, in fighting corruption in Nigeria. She added that the entire African continent, and indeed, the world are happy with the Chairman’s efforts at dealing with those who have no other business than destroying the country.

Furthermore, she extolled the Commandant of the Academy, Professor Ladi Hamalai as a woman who has contributed a lot in moving the nation forward while also expressing optimism that she would add significant value to the EFCC.

Dr Gardon who was associate Provost at Kansas State University for diversity, retired in 2015.
