Buhari mourns Prof. Sa’ad Abubakar

President Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has joined the academia in mourning the passing of eminent scholar and historian, Prof. Sa’ad Abubakar, whose contributions to Nigeria’s educational development will remain indelible.

The President commiserated with family, friends and associates of the renowned historian, who worked variously with the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, University of Maiduguri and University of Abuja, spending most of his time on research, teaching and administration.

President Buhari believed the insightful thoughts, resourceful teachings and wise counsels of the eminent scholar will be sorely missed by the academia and the country, especially as the government refocuses on the need for students to study more on values of culture and identity.

The President prayed that the Almighty God will grant the soul of the departed rest and comfort his family.
