A drug supplier, James Okafor, who allegedly obtained N4,250,000, from a pharmacist under false pretence, on Tuesday appeared before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court.
Okafor, 49, was arraigned by the police before Mrs. M. O. Ope-Agbe on a four-count charge of conspiracy, obtaining by false pretence, stealing and assault.
Prosecuting Sergeant Cyriacus Osuji alleged that the defendant and his accomplices, who are on the run, committed the offence last September.

He said the stolen property belonged to Wisdom Friday.
Osuji said Okafor, with intent to defraud, obtained the money under false pretence that he was going to supply Diclofenac drugs to Friday.
Okafor was said to have assaulted the complainant when he asked for his money on July 15.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Ope-Agbe granted Okafor N3million bail with one surety in the like sum .
The case continues on September 12.
