Two Nigerians and one Cameroonian are been held illegally in Ethiopia prison for alleged crime they did not commit.

They are:

  1. Innocent Agoba(30) Nigerian
  2. Gadison chenda (47) Nigerian
  3. Timbak tier timba(32) Cameroonian

When Heraldnigeria.com contacted their lawyer who wouldn’t want his name to be mentioned, he said, ”My clients where here on vacation when the Ethiopian police arrested then for fraud.

”I believe the police have no evidence against them and I requested the court for their bail rights, and the court have granted them a bail, but the decision of the court was not welcomed by the police, so the police concentrated on fabricating fake crimes and they are still holding them”

The lawyer said he contacted the Nigerian embassy in Ethiopia concerning the fraud allegations labelled on Innocent and Gadison but the embassy were too careless to do any thing.

”I read some articles which were written about Nigeria prisoners which were held in Ethiopia, and I started to represent some of those prisoners here in Ethiopia, they are suffering a lot, I contacted the Nigerian embassy here, but they are careless.

”I am calling on the Nigerian government and the whole world to know about this injustice and come to the rescue of these prisoners, the lawyer said.

When Heraldnigeria.com asked him (the lawyer) if his clients were in any way beaten in detention, he said, ”No, but there is a problem in the food thing, they didn’t eat Ethiopia foods, they didn’t adopt it and also psychologically they are hurt, they have no one here to ask or visit them”
