A criminal court in Northern Cyprus on Friday imposed a 30-year prison sentence on a father who was found guilty of raping his underage daughter for two years.
The 44-year-old father had raped his daughter multiple times when she was between the ages of 15 and 17.
According to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), the sentence imposed was one of the harshest dished out so far by a criminal court in the north.
