Ten other people sustained injuries during the clash that took place on the parcel of land that separated the two communities.
A security officer said that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, in Ile Ife.
Residents of the communities that spoke to our correspondent on Sunday, explained that the crisis was caused by a boundary dispute.
Heavily armed policemen have been stationed near the land separating the two communities.
It was learnt that Yakoyo community got a court judgment recently, which ceded a parcel of land separating the two communities to it after several years of litigation.
Attempt to implement the judgment early on Saturday, it was gathered, started the disagreement that later led to a clash between the two communities.
Spokesperson for Osun Police Command, SP Folasade Odoro, while commenting on the development, said normalcy had returned to the area and warned that the command would ensure a thorough investigation of the cause of the crisis with a view to preventing future recurrence.
