PDP’s Oyo Gov candidate Seyi Makinde clears 27 of 33 LGAs

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde, is leading with a wide margin in the Saturday’s election.


With the results from 32 out of the 33 local government areas in the state announced so far by the collations officers, Makinde polled 481,176 votes to beat his closest contestant, Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 339,801 votes.

The result from the only remaining local government Area, Ibadan South-West, is being awaited.

Out of the 32 LGAs declared, PDP won in 27 while APC won in five.
