The family of one Razak Ahmed on Tuesday called on President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State to investigate the alleged killing of their son in the custody of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

Heraldnigeria.com gathered that Razak was allegedly arrested by the men of the corps on Sunday over an allegation of incestuous behaviour.

The deceased was allegedly having carnal knowledge of his own 12-year-old  daughter at Aule area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

A source said it was one of his daughters, from another wife that reported the case at the NSCDC station in Akure on Sunday, so he was allegedly beaten to death by the officers on Tuesday.”

A younger sister of the deceased, Mrs. Taiwo, who spoke to reporters, confirmed that the deceased was beaten to death with a stick.

She said, “It was one of his daughters that lied against him at the NSCDC station and he was then arrested and taken to their office.

“In their cell, they started beating him with sticks because he told them he did not commit the offence he was alleged to have committed. The torture was too much that he gave up the ghost and he was taken to the mortuary by the officers.”

She called on the government and human rights organisations to assist the family to get justice, saying the corps allegedly wanted to sweep the case under the carpet.

All efforts to reach the Public Relations Officer of the command,  Mr. Samuel Oladipo, was unsuccessful as he did not pick his calls while the text message sent to him was not replied as of the time of filing this report.
