The South-West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Monday said the Oyo State governor-elect, Seyi Makinde, would provide exemplary leadership for the people of the state.
The party said this in a statement in Osogbo, Osun State, by its Secretary, Rev Bunmi Jenyo.
It described the victory as well deserved.
The PDP described Makinde’s victory as a reward for his good antecedent, and a show of strong will of the people of the state for a change in government through ballot.
The statement partly read, “Without an iota of doubt, the Ibadan-born politician shall make the people and the PDP proud in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities as the governor of Oyo State from May 29, 2019.
“Makinde’s disposition to the ideals of a pragmatic PDP and masses’ wellbeing in every nook and cranny of Oyo State must be commended, appreciated and celebrated.”
