The acting Executive Chairman, Mustapha Ibrahim Magu on Friday, March 08, 2019, while on a sensitization visit in some Internally Displaced Person’s camps across Maiduguri metropolitan council met with leaders of various camps and caution them not to sell their votes nor give out their PVCs for money.

Magu who was represented by the EFCC Zonal Head, Maiduguri office, Lawrence Iwodi, gave the charge in collaboration with the Ali Abullahi Isah the State Director of Planning, Research and statistics, Emergency Management Agency in the Teachers Village, Gubio, NYSC, Bokolis and Internally Displaced Persons Camps respectively.

“The situation you find yourselves should not deter you in casting your vote and you should not be smeared by politicians patronizing you to buy your vote or collect your PVCs before giving you relief materials.”

Magu urged the IDPs to report any individual who, during the election periods, induces vote buying and or collection of PVCs to available operatives at their various IDP camps, as assured that the Operatives will be stationed in each and every Camp during and after the elections.
